From dinosaurs to the circular economy

A journey through time

Imagine being able to witness the last 200 million years. What would you see? Perhaps you would witness majestic dinosaurs roaming through prehistoric forests. You might see our ancestors taking their first steps as they began to walk upright and use tools. This idea may be fanciful, but it offers an interesting perspective on our history and the development of human civilization.

Today, we are facing major challenges in the way we use natural resources and generate waste. Our current economic system, which is based on the principle of “take, produce, dispose”, is neither sustainable nor viable for the future. We need to move from a linear economic model to a circular economy in which raw materials are reused and waste is minimized. One example of this is our production of megawood® decking and other products made from recycled materials, for which no new trees need to be felled and which are manufactured using green energy.

Zeitreisende Schildkröte It is encouraging to see that steps in the right direction are already being taken. Companies and individuals are working to make their production and consumption habits more sustainable. But this is just the beginning. If we humans want to successfully experience the fourth million years on this planet, we need to fundamentally change our understanding of the economy and progress. It's not just about being less harmful, but actively beneficial and positive for our environment and society. Only in this way can we ensure that future generations can also take a well-deserved break without overburdening the earth.
